Mostly cloudy skies with some light rain will occur through this morning. A band of scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm currently moving into the interior portions of South Florida near Lake Okeechobee to Naples will move east to affect the East Coast metropolitan region and the adjacent coastal waters into early this afternoon. There could be an occasional lightning strike and a brief heavy downpour. Rainfall amounts will generally be less than one tenth of an inch but a few locations could receive around one half inch with the stronger storms.
